Majority and Minority Impact on Collective Action.
Abstract
This report summarizes work on the effects of holding a majority or minority position on satisfaction with and support of group decision. The research found a systematic relationship between the decision process used by a group, majority/minority position, and initial intra-group goal concordance, on reactions to group decisions. Additional work related to choice of work partners is summarized.
