The Effect of Varying Certain Parameters on the Performance of the S.C. A.M.P. Produced 5.56 mm Projectile

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of changing the boattail and the nose radius on the performance of the current 5.56 mm bullet. The results showed that elimination of the boattail had a detrimental effect on the performance while a change in the nose radius had no change on the performance of the 5.56 mm bullet.
