The Maximum Likelihood Method Applications to DAASM Studies

Abstract

The MLM has been applied to simulated models of signals and noise to ascertain Doppler and angular information. The models closely correspond to HF signals propagating through the ionosphere. Relevant mathematical derivations and properties are presented. Examples of the technique as applied to actual data are also presented.
