Abstract

The formative period of the Optical Sciences Center is described beginning with the initial discussions of the need for a new research facility and culminating with a listing of the faculty members and the current areas of research presently under way. A listing of graduates from the Optical Sciences Center is presented, and the publications completed under contract FO 4695-67-C-0197 are listed.
