Optimization of Distributed Parameter Structures Under Dynamic Loads.

Abstract

In this report, optimal design of continuous structural systems under dynamic loads is considered. An optimization technique is developed based on the generalized steepest descent method and optimal control techniques Bryson and Ho. The method is then applied to some beam and plate problems.
