Abstract

Part No. 2 of a three part series on fire research begins with a bibliography on flame structure, contributing to understanding of the reaction kinetics of fires. Three symposia are reported: the yearly meeting of the Belgian section of the Combustion Institute, the European symposium on combustion in Sheffield, and a symposium on smoke and air quality from forest fires sponsored by the Committee on Fire Research. A new Polish journal is cited. Abstracts and Reviews concerning fire research are also included.
