Antenna Effective Length Measurement. Volume II. Experimental Data and Test Plan.

Abstract

Measurement of the complex effective length of a blade antenna mounted on a C-130B airplane using scale model techniques is described. The report describes measurement program procedures and results of the 7-month program. The material included in this report provides the necessary data to describe the Thevenin equivalent circuit of the antenna referred to a reference plane at the aircraft skin for the frequency range from 100 kHz to 100 MHz.
