Design, Fabrication, and Evaluation of an Electron Beam Addressable High Information Density Memory Tube.

Abstract

Electron Optical component improvements were made to simplify the tube construction and as first steps toward ruggedizing the tube. These modifications were thoroughly tested, and the results indicate extremely stable beam control as well as a design that can more easily be made rugged. Tests to verify tube operation capability at 10 megabit data rates were successfully completed. Storage target improvements continue. (Author)
