A Shock Tube Study of the Reaction of H Atoms with DF.

Abstract

The reaction rate of H with DF has been measured at temperatures between 2100 and 3900 K in a shock tube study. The measurements indicate that the sum of the two reaction rates for H + DF yields HD + F and H + DF yield D + HF has an activation energy of 33,700 cal/mol-sec. These data establish upper limits for each of the rate coefficients and should serve as a guide for theoretical calculations. (Author)
