Power Series Distributions, A Dual Class and Some Extensions,

Abstract

The class of power series distributions is considered. Properties of this class are discussed, in particular, the closure of the class under weak convergence. Its closure under weak convergence is found to be the class of all distribution functions of non-negative random variables. Finally, an extension to the bivariate case is introduced.
