A Note on Application of a Lemma of Billingsley.
Abstract
Billingsley (1968) provided an important probability inequality of maximal type. This note provides an auxiliary lemma which usefully extends the domain of immediate application of Billingsley's lemma. Some of these applications are pointed out. (Author)
