Army Scientific Advisory Panel Ad Hoc Group to Review the 1974 Summer Study Results

Abstract

The ASAP conducted a Summer Study at HQ TRADOC, Ft. Monroe, VA during the period 15-26 July 1974. The Panel addressed Mission Area Deficiencies and Opportunities (MADO) in six subgroups: 1 - Battlefield Surveillance and Target Acquisition; 2 - Intelligence, Command and Control, and Communications; 3 - Firepower (Close Combat and Fire Support); 4 - Mobility Enhancement and Denial; 5 - Survivability in Conventional, CBR, and EW Environments; and 6 - Field Army Air Defense. Ad hoc group reviewed recommendations made in original report to determine their validity and status of implementation/disposition.
