Performance Evaluation of the Lincoln Laboratory Time Sharing System.

Abstract

This paper describes a set of measurements being used to evaluate the performance of the Lincoln Laboratory time sharing computing system. With these measurements it has become possible to make meaningful quantitative statements about the performance of the Laboratory's central computing facility, and to make more rational decisions about where to allocate resources to improve the facility.
