Performance Criteria for the Design of a Control System for an Automated Ammunition Loading Process.

Abstract

This paper provides a basis for determining the criteria for designing a control system for an automated production line. The loading of explosive into 105mm projectile casings is used as an application. A supervisory computerized system and six sub-units or process computerized controllers are proposed for controlling the complete production line. The criteria are limited to the control system and does not include other functions which may be assigned to the computer by management. (Author)
