Army/Air Force Tactical ESM and Reconnaissance Information Needs (AATERIN). Volume II. Project Objectives/Development.

Abstract

This update report describes work done under the AATERIN (Air force/Army Tactical ESM and Reconnaissance Information Needs) Program. The objective of this program was to make available to qualified users a complete listing of Air Force and Army commander's reconnaissance and ESM information needs for a mid-intensity (non-nuclear, full scale) conflict situation in Central Europe. In addition to listing the data in a common format, necessary computer software was developed for sorting/processing these needs to provide detailed and summary outputs for user selected subsets of the available data. The actual needs data are published in Volume 1 (SECRET - NOFORN) of this report. Volume 2 (UNCL) contains a description of the programs background, rationable, program development/data update, user's service and outputs provided. Computer programs and EDP procedures are presented in Volume 3 (UNCL). (Author)
