Acoustic Emission Characteristics of Structural Steels.

Abstract

The paper describes acoustic emission behavior of C-Mn steels, 4130 steel SA533B steels during tensile and fracture toughness tests. Non-metallic inclusions were found to be the primary source of burst-type emission.
