A HASP Multi-Leaving Terminal Simulator for the EAI PACER-100 Digital Processor.

Abstract

It is advantageous for engineers and managers to have access to large digital computing systems. However, in most cases the cost of maintaining such a system would be totally prohibitive. A more economic solution to this problem would be the use of a small general purpose minicomputer operating as a HASP multi-leaving remote batch terminal. Such a system would not only provide remote access to the large computing system when necessary, but may also be used to run small off-line jobs at a much lower cost. This paper describes the design of a HASP communications package enabling an EAI PACER-100 minicomputer to communicate with large HASP-supported processing systems.
