COSYEX: A Linear Control System Experimenter.

Abstract

COSYEX--an acronym for Control System Experimenter--is a computer program written primarily in Fortran and designed for use on a PDP 11/45 Computer under the Unix Time Sharing System (e.g., the Harvard HRSTS computing system). It is an educational tool which a user can employ to experiment with a control system model he specifies. These experiments on LQG Systems may involve Discretization, Riccati Solutions, Regulation, Simulation, Filtering and Optimization. COSYEX provides an extensive interaction facility to the user in specifying his problem, in supervising his experiments and in controlling his errors. These features make COSYEX a convenient educational tool for control system experimentation. COSYEX is available in DEC tape form which is ready to load and run.
