Production Engineering Measure for Low Noise Solid State Oscillator.

Abstract

The initial program objectives have been expanded to include the production engineering for gallium arsenide, Gunn diode, low noise solid state oscillators at Ku-band and X-band frequencies. As a result of the evaluation of delivered engineering samples, two new Electronics Command Technical Requirements (ECTR) have been generated which supercede the initial single ECTR. Typical engineering sample data are presented on the two units. A detailed analysis of the Load Pulling Effects on Oscillators was generated. A summary of the IMPATT diode work is given. A description of the manufacturing aspects of the oscillators is presented. A new milestone schedule was agreed to for the First Article and Pilot Production Phases of the Program. The First Article phase of the program was initiated. (Author)
