Synthetic Aperture Radar Applications Study.

Abstract

The purpose of this effort was to study the feasibility and methods of extracting DRLMS data base parameters from SAR imagery. It was concluded that much of the required DRLMS data exists in SAR imagery which can be extracted using an interactive system. A set of procedures and a conceptual design of an interactive system were developed for use in the extraction process. The outstanding questions concern metric accuracy, the efficiency of the overall system, and the amount of feature information image interpreters can extract. (Author)
