Construction Standards and Regulations II. 57-75. Part II. Design Standards, Chapter 57. Loads and Effects on Hydraulic Engineering Structures from Waves, Ice and Vessels.

Abstract

In this report the standard values of loads and effects from waves, ice, and vessels on hydraulic engineering structures are established. The calculated load must be determined as the product of the standard load times the overload factor n, which takes into consideration the possible deflection of the load in an unfavorable direction from its standard value and must be assumed in accordance with the requirements presented in the CSR chapter on the basic principles of designing river hydraulic engineering structures. Instructions on determination of wave elements on open and enclosed water areas, terminology and designations of the principal symbols are presented.
