Racial Differences in Group Effectiveness in Laboratory and Field Settings.

Abstract

This report reviews and summarizes research conducted from February 1972 through June 1976. The project placed primary emphasis on advancing knowledge about the interaction which occurs in small groups of blacks and whites. The hypotheses developed from a review of the literature were tested in a laboratory situation and subsequently clarified and tested in a field situation of naval recruits.
