Establishment of Normal Electrocardiographic Values for Rhesus Monkeys (Macaca mulatta) Under Sedated and Unsedated Conditions,

Abstract

In an attempt to establish normal electrocardiographic values for sedated and unsedated rhesus monkeys at this laboratory, electrocardiographic tracings from 57 female and 56 male rhesus monkeys under sedated and unsedated states were examined to determine normal values for the various parameters. The data were statistically analyzed for significant differences between sex groups and sedated versus unsedated monkeys of the same sex. The results are compared with two previous major electrocardiographic studies on unsedated rhesus monkeys. (Author)
