Workshop on the Treatment of Decompression Sickness.

Abstract

This report summarizes a workshop held 17-18 February 1976 in London. The thirty physicians attending from seven nations sought a uniform approach to the treatment of decompression sickness in the North Sea environment. Aspects considered include recompression profiles, gas mixtures, ancillary drugs, aftercare, qualification of assistants, and communication problems. Included in the report is an outline approved by the EUBS for guidance in the choice of treatment tables. (Author)
