Abstract

The book discusses the chemical and microbiological processes taking place in reservoirs, tanks and ponds, and during purification of natural and sewage waters. Particular attention is devoted to problems of chemical and biological purification, in tensification of the methods of treating natural and sewage waters, new reagents and improvement of the treatment method. The textbook is designed for students at engineering-construction institutes with the specialty of 'Water Supply and Sewage Systems'. It will also be useful to engineering and technical personnel in studying, planning and operating water lines and sewage purification installations.
