Alternatives of Traditional Forms of Scientific Communication,

Abstract

Scholars are well aware of the burgeoning growth in journals and other forms of scientific communication, just as they are all too familiar with the fact that the costs of processing this information are also skyrocketing. Ways must be found to bring costs down to a manageable level and still make possible more effective and efficient dissemination of the vast amounts of information. There are many experiments currently under way to help solve these problems, and additional research is being done on other alternatives to traditional forms of scientific communication.
