Design Modifications, Raytheon DE 723M,

Abstract

Measurements on the depth finder DE 723M were completed and design modifications were made. The modified system was tested at Solomons Island and in the Caribbean. Preliminary results indicate that the addition of Time Variable Gain (TVG) and Automatic Gain Control (AGC) will greatly enhance the operational characteristics of the system.
