Los Angeles County District Attorney's Less-Lethal Weapons Task Force.

Abstract

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office established a Task Force on Less-Lethal Weapons. This is a report of the findings of that task force and covers the following four areas: research and evaluation, wound ballistics, legislation, and public information. The technical work conducted by the task force was utilized as a basis for drafting legislation concerning the use of less-lethal weapons. The findings leading to the legislation, along with a summary of the draft bill, are presented in the report.
