It classifies and critically analyzes them. The author presents his own clinical-anatomical classification which characterizes malformations by quantitative as well as qualitative criteria. The book describes the clinical picture and diagnosis of congenital malformations of the external and middle ear on the basis of a comparison of clinical, audiological, X-ray, otoneurological, and logopedic examiniations of 100 patients. It discusses the most suitable methods of hearing-improving and cosmetic operations to correct congenital defects.
