Sample-Size Determination for a Random Variable of Bounded Variation - II: The Unimodal Case.

Abstract

An algorithm is given for determining the sample size required to estimate the mean of a unimodal random variable of bounded variation. The (new) assumption of unimodality permits substantial reductions in required sample size. (Author)
