Experimental Validation of Transient Plasma Effects Used in High Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse Calculations.

Abstract

The work discussed in this report concerns the propagation of an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) through the high altitude EMP source region. The objective of this work has been to obtain experimental data on the nonlinear absorption of an EMP by conduction currents within the high altitude EMP source region that could be compared with theoretical predictions.
