Abstract
In 1972 the United Nations General Assembly decided to convene a general conference on the law of the sea at Santiago, Chile in April 1974. The report for the Exploitation of the Oceans summarizes the principal tendencies which emerged in the course of preparatory work, as well as the methods of regulation envisaged.
