Long Waveform System.

Abstract

This report describes the design and implementation of the Long Waveform System developed at the Information Sciences Division of Rome Air Development Center. It provides documentation for the overall system, as it now stands, and gives additional insight to potential users for possible expansion to fit their needs. The system is implemented on the PDP 11/45 computer with a Tektronix 4002A graphics storage tube terminal and provides the capability required to visually analyze and edit long waveform segments. Hardcopy capability is provided by the Tektronix 4601 hardcopy unit. The Long Waveform System is supported by the analog-to-digital conversion subsystem which has the capability of digitizing and streaming data to the RP02 disk at a rate of 25,000 words per second. The RP02 disk can store over 8,500,000 16 bit words. (Author)
