Preparation of Ferrocenium Phosphorus, Arsenic, Antimony and Bismuth Halides. The Structure of ((C5H5)2Fe)BiCl4.

Abstract

Eleven ferrocenium halogenopnictides have been prepared by the combination of a pnictogen (III) halide with ferrocene in organic solvent; the structure of one of the products reveals an extended, one-dimensional anion of irregular, edge-sharing BiCl6(3-) octahedra.
