Temperature Dependence of Al/O2 and AlO/O2 Kinetics.

Abstract

Rate coefficients for the Reactions Al+O2 yields AlO+O and AlO+O2 yields AlO2+O show agreement with previous determinations in a high-temperature fast flow reactor at 1000-1700 and at 1400K, respectively. This report presents the results of investigations at temperatures as low as 310 K. The reaction rate for Al+O2 yields AlO+O was determined to the (3 + or - 2) x 10 to the -11th power ml per molecule per second. The reaction rate for AlO+O2 yields AlO2+O was determined to be (5 + or -3) x 10 to the -11th power ml per molecule per second over the 310K - 1400K temperature range. (Author)
