Spectral Sensitivity Calibration of Spectrophotometers,

Abstract

A standard lamp calibrated by NPL was used to measure the spectral sensitivity curve of a spectrophotometer which had previously been calibrated in the ultraviolet region against the ferrioxalate actinometer. The results indicated that the calibration of the lamp can be extrapolated appreciably below 300 nm with sufficient accuracy for many purposes. The spectral sensitivity curve of a previously uncalibrated double grating spectrophotometer was measured by this technique. (Author)
