Stress Intensity Factors for Radial Cracks in Discs.

Abstract

Stress intensity factors for radial cracks in discs have been derived using integral transform techniques. Three types of loading were considered, constant pressure on the crack faces, body forces due to rotation of the disc and forces acting on the edge of the disc. The results are presented graphically.
