A Photoionization Study of Cluster Species Present in Gas Vapors and Those Created by Condensation in a Supersonic Molecular Beam.

Abstract

This interim report summarizes the effort over the past 13 months to characterize the clusters of carbon dioxide and those of methanol which are either formed or sampled by a supersonic molecular beam. Instrumental conditions were characterized and quantitative measurements were attempted to produce the heats of formation and the intensities of cluster species using photoionization mass spectrometry.
