Bird-Ringing in Ethiopia Report Number 5, 1969-1975.

Abstract

The 'top-ten' species in numbers ringed for all years, in descending order, are: Mourning Dove, White-vented Bulbul, Flava Wagtail, Willow Warbler, African Sand Martin, Red-billed Firefinch, Black-headed Weaver, Swallow, Northern Masked Weaver, and Reed Warbler, which together comprise 26% of the grand total ringed. It is of interest that four species of Paleartic migrants are included. Only 18 new species were added to the ringing list this year. (Author)
