Analytical and Processing Techniques for Rocket and Searchlight Probe Data which Bear upon Number Density Computation, Aerosol Scattering, and Optical Emissions.

Abstract

This report describes a number of numerical and processing procedures that were developed to aid Air Force Geophysics Laboratory (AFGL) researchers in the analysis and interpretation of experimental data. The research areas for which these techniques were developed include: The determination of number densities of upper atmospheric constituents, the study of atmospheric aerosol properties, and the study of atmospheric optical emissions.
