Biased Estimation in Regression.
Abstract
This report covers activities of the principal investigator and his research collaborators from 1 July 1975 to 30 June 1976 on Grant No. AFOSR 75-2871 sponsored by the Air Force Office of Scientific Research. Included in the report are abstracts of completed research papers, outlines of research in progress, and a summary of other research activities accomplished during the grant period. The emphasis of completed research has been on comparing various properties of competing regression estimators. Current and future research topics are aimed at improving the potential of the estimators judged most promising in the above studies, particularly the latent root and principal component estimators.
