Multiaxial Creep in Concrete.

Abstract

The purpose of the investigation upon which this paper was based was to develop information regarding the time-dependent deformation (creep) behavior of concrete in the presence of varying temperature, moisture, and loading conditions similar to those encountered in a prestressed concrete reactor vessel (PCRV). This particular investigation was concerned with one concrete strength, three aggregate types, one cement, two moisture conditions, two testing temperatures, and four loading conditions. A comprehensive evaluation of the effects of these factors on the behavior of concrete as determined in this investigation has not been completed. However, some of the general conclusions from a limited preliminary evaluation are presented. (Author)
