The Yearly Summary of the NRL Air Quality Data (1975).

Abstract

The NRL air monitoring station went operational in January 1975, and a summary of the air quality data collected for the year is included in this report. The parameters monitored at the station include ozone (O3), sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), total hydrocarbons (THC), methane (CH4), carbon monoxide (CO), wind speed, and wind speed and wind direction. The instruments are coupled to a data acquisition system including a magnetic tape recorder. A month's data is accumulated on a tape and subsequently processed by a computer program. The monthly computer printout includes hourly and daily air quality data for each parameter plus data on non-methane hydrocarbons which is obtained by subtracting CH4 concentrations from corresponding THC concentrations obtained at the same time. A large amount of information has been accumulated of which only a part has been included in this report. The NRL air quality data is also compared to data obtained by other jurisdictions in the Metropolitan area. (Author)
