Nominal Event Support: The Observation of Synchronous Satellite Number 83594 by GEODSS on Days 181, 182, 183, and 184, 1976 (UTC).

Abstract

The results of observations of objects associated with satellite 83594, made from the Lincoln Laboratory GEODSS site on days 181, 182, 183, and 184 (UTC), 1976, are reported. Metric, brightness, and signature data are presented on as many as three objects which were detected simultaneously in the nominal one-half degree field-of-view of the system, while the telescope was pointed in accordance with the SDC orbital elements for 83594. One of the brighter objects, detectable during the first three periods of observation, could not be located, even after a nominal two-degree search at increased system sensitivity, on the 184th day.
