An Experimental Study of Multiaxial Creep in Concrete,

Abstract

The purpose of this continuing investigation is to develop information regarding the time-dependent deformation behavior of concrete in the presence of varying temperature, moisture, and loading conditions similar to those encountered in a prestressed concrete reactor vessel (PCRV). This particlular investigation is concerned with one concrete strength, three aggregate types, one cement, two moisture conditions, two testing temperatures, and four loading conditions. Results, to date, of tests on the creep of concrete subjected to this variety of conditions are presented and summarized generally. A comprehensive evaluation of the effects of these conditions will be published upon completion of the investigation. (Author)
