FORTRAN Compiler Validation System Detailed Test Specifications, 1977. Version 1.0.

Abstract

This document represents the detailed test specifications for the initial release (Version 1.0) of the U. S. Navy 1977 FORTRAN Compiler Validation System. The FCVS consists of audit routines, their related data and an executive routine (VP-routine) which prepares the compilation. Each audit routine is a FORTRAN program which includes tests and supporting procedures indicating the results of each of the tests. The audit routines collectively contain the features of an intersection of the language elements making up X3.9-1966 (American Standard FORTRAN) and its successor X3.9-1977 (American Standard Programming Language FORTRAN).
