Fuel Cell Stacks.

Abstract

Processes for the manufacture of phosphoric acid fuel cell components are described. Electrodes, matrices, and bipolar gas distribution plates for use in fuel cells with an active area of about 0.4 sq ft have been fabricated. Initial performance of 10-cell stacks has been studied with pure and CO-containing hydrogen fuel. Life testing has been conducted with pure hydrogen fuel with cell voltage decay rates of 1.5mV/100 hours over the first 1000 hours of operation at 150C. (Author)
