Research Leading to Transducer Masters.

Abstract

10X and 1X negative chrome transducer masters were fabricated using a laser interferometer-controlled image repeater. RADC/ET-furnished magnetic tapes provided the programming for generating the 10X masters. 'Ghost images', caused by minute line width variations, were eliminated by increasing the finger artwork to 10,000X. Rigid cleanliness of facility and processing chemicals is required for successful micrometer line width fabrication. Anti-reflective chrome is superior for both 1X and 10X masters. (Author)
