The Use of Statistical Sampling in Contract Pricing

Abstract

This report provides the reader with the results of a study on the use of statistical sampling techniques on pricing cases in one Air Force Plant Representatives Office (AFPRO). The study reveals that 38% of the AFPRO pricing workload is devoted to 1-1/2% of the contractual dollars and that 77% of the workload is devoted to 11% of the dollars proposed.
