Nuclear Plant Siting Study. Volume 2

Abstract

This report presents economic and optimal system evaluation of a nuclear power plant site selection study. Also included is an analysis for determining an optimum mix for the nuclear plant. The evaluation is complex because of many diverse considerations needed to accurately reflect the economics of using a standard nuclear reactor in an existing system with dual requirements of steam and electricity. Also other factors must reflect how the nuclear reactor fits into the overall system.
